Dr. Ionut Rusu is a senior veterinarian and veterinary surgeon at Modern Vet’s JVC clinic. He has over 11 years of experience practicing in the field of small animal medicine. He graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from USAMV in 2014. He is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, having achieved this status in 2018. Dr. Ionut Rusu has practiced veterinary medicine throughout Romania and the United Kingdom and has been licensed to practice in Dubai since 2022.
In addition to providing compassionate veterinary services to his patients, Dr. Ionut Rusu is dedicated to evidence-based veterinary medicine by using accurate diagnostic methods, preventative care and empathetic communication to assist pet owners and their pets. Some of Dr. Ionut Rusu’s professional interests include internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, and dermatology. He also has extensive experience treating rabbits in addition to dogs and cats.
He was an official veterinarian and team leader for the Food Standards Agency and has previously worked as the Medical Director in a small animal veterinary practice. Outside of the veterinary profession, Dr. Ionut Rusu enjoys sailing, hiking, meditating and spending time with his two cats named Peanut and Pickle.
