Dr. Rowena Mae, is a dedicated and compassionate veterinarian who has been working in companion animal medicine for over 14 years. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2012, and before attending veterinary school, she graduated from a university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, with a major in management. She is licensed by both Dubai Municipality and MOCCAE, and currently works out of the Al Wasl Clinic, where she provides top quality veterinary care to a variety of species, including dogs, cats, birds, exotics, wildlife, snakes, lizards, and many others.
Dr. Rowena’s main interests are in soft tissue surgery, dentistry and endoscopy. She is certified in Advanced Anesthesia Techniques and V-clamp procedures. Dr. Rowena feels it is important to continue educating herself to provide the best possible treatment options for all of her patients.
As a long-time lover of animals, Dr. Rowena derives the most satisfaction from saving animals’ lives and making them happy. She believes that providing exceptional veterinary care starts with compassion and understanding; therefore, Dr. Rowena listens to each of her patients owners and strives to create a safe, trusting relationship with each one.
When not working at the clinic, Dr. Rowena enjoys spending time with her family, and her loved ones consist of three cats, two dogs, an iguana and a gecko.
