What Is Laparoscopic Spaying?
The laparoscopic spay involves making 2 or 3 very small openings into the abdomen, rather than one big opening as required by traditional spays. A laparoscope is then placed into the abdominal cavity which provides a clear picture of all of the internal organs on a high definition monitor.
Surgical instruments are used to precisely remove the ovaries while using minimal manipulation of the tissues. Carbon dioxide gas is inflated within the abdominal cavity to provide working room, thus improving visualization during surgery.
