Biography

Dr. Beatriz was born and raised in Madrid, Spain. She comes from a long family line of veterinary doctors and was always keen on working with animals. She graduated in 2015 from Complutense University in Madrid, where she worked with the Complutense University teaching hospital, both through the residency program and the Oncology referral department for years. She completed the residency program in 2018 with a special interest in emergency and critical care while, at the same time, completing her first masters degree in Internal medicine from Atonomus University of Barcelona. After that, she moved to Ireland and worked at the University College of Dublin Veterinary teaching hospital.

Back in Madrid, she has been working for different referral clinics overseeing the oncology department. She completed her bachelor’s diploma in Small Animal Cytology interpretation with the Complutense University of Madrid in 2019. She has been performing her own cytology interpretation since then for her practice and also for referring colleagues in Madrid.

In addition to her internal medicine and oncology training, in 2022, Dr. Beatriz finished her formal education in endoscopy and endosurgery at the European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies, and has been performing endoscopic procedures since then with special interest in cat gastroenterology. Currently, Dr. Beatriz is working on the process to obtain the AVEPA accreditation in oncology and is finishing her second GPCert diploma in this area. Member of AVEPA and ISFM, she continues to develop her relentless pursuit of knowledge through multiple courses on different disciplines.
