Dr. Fatima Douda
Dr. Fatima Douda is a dedicated veterinary doctor, celebrated for her passion for animal care, extensive expertise, and a commitment to lifelong learning. Born and raised in Sudan, Dr. Douda's journey into the world of veterinary medicine was sparked at an early age by her profound love for animals. Her early foray into the field was marked by a significant event at the age of 13 when she successfully performed surgery on an injured chicken, saving its life and cementing her aspiration to become a veterinarian.
Dr. Douda's academic journey led her to the University of Bahri College of Veterinary Medicine, where she earned her bachelor's degree with distinction in 2016. Following her graduation, she embarked on a year of intensive rotations across various departments in Sudanese veterinary hospitals, where she honed her skills in surgeries, diagnostic imaging, and internal medicine.
Furthering her expertise, Dr. Douda was awarded a master's scholarship focusing on food safety and the prevention of foodborne diseases. This opportunity enhanced her understanding of quality control and risk mitigation in food production, adding a critical dimension to her professional portfolio. Her career milestones include serving with distinction at Bhri Veterinary Hospital, where she specialized in consultations and surgeries, and co-founding the pioneering One Health program in Sudan.
Currently, Dr. Douda is dedicated to advancing her surgical skills and is pursuing certification in Small Animal Surgery (GPCert SAS). Her experience extends beyond clinical settings, as she has also worked with diverse animal species on farms across Sudan. Here, she gained invaluable expertise in husbandry practices, reproductive management, and artificial insemination.
Dr. Douda's commitment to continuous education is evident through her completion of various programs and courses in pet nutrition, ultrasound, endocrinology, and emergency care. Beyond her professional pursuits, she enjoys sports, with a particular interest in volleyball, and is passionate about language learning, boasting proficiency in Arabic, English, and Hindi.
With her compassionate approach, Dr. Douda is dedicated to providing exceptional care to every animal entrusted to her care, embodying the values of empathy, integrity, and expertise in veterinary medicine.
